Fall Fashion & Travelling from Vancouver To Paris

We’re officially just a little more than 3 weeks before Sabrina and I are off to Paris! I mentioned before but it’s my first time heading to France and I couldn’t be more excited. The trip hasn’t exactly hit me just yet but the excitement is definitely there. It’ll set in that I’m travelling to Paris the night before while I pack. My anxiety will be at an all time high as it always is when I fly somewhere but this will be a trip of a lifetime.

Not only am I going with one of my best girlfriends but it’s during Paris Fashion Week and some of my other closest and best friends will be there at the same time! Leonie is actually travelling from Berlin to stay with us for 3 days and Camilla will be coming for a day from London. Yay!

There is a lot that Sabrina and I wanna do when we’re there but we need to break down a list of priority to-dos or else we’ll try to do it all. I would actually really love your recommendations for shopping and dining. I’m not a big shopper when I travel but something tells me I’ll be spending a little bit of moola when I’m there. A few other things that we want to do when we’re there:

  • Visit Versailles for the day
  • Get tattoos – does anyone know a great artist in Paris?
  • See a live show – Sigur Ros and ODESZA will be performing while we’re there!

Since it’s Paris Fashion Week we’ll be spending a lot of time near the shows. We don’t have any plans to visit the shows because we didn’t want this trip to be work but with Sabrina being a street style photographer we’ll be taking advantage of snapping some of the best outfits around town.

Send any recommendations our way for ANYTHING to do! Send me a tweet, comment on this post or shoot me an email!

Now, onto the outfit. I know it’s still summer and we’re probably going to have a super warm September but I can’t help but dive into a fall wardrobe. How AMAZING is this jacket??? It’s so lightweight but warm and it’s a beautiful chocolate brown suede. Brown is one of fall’s biggest trends and I’m hoping to play into it in a major way this season. This jacket is from Banana Republic and I think it’ll fly off the shelves pretty quick.

Can we also talk about this bag?! I’m going to bring it to Paris with me. It’s a gorgeous black vegetable-tanned leather tote made by Sonya Lee in Toronto. It’ll be great to slip my laptop into when wanting to edit photos at an intimate Parisian cafe.
