One of the best ways to learn about something new is to experience it, wouldn’t you agree? Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C. you would think that I’ve seen most of what this beautiful province has to offer but I think it’s usually the case to not see it all because there is always a chance to. I haven’t made my way to the Sunshine Coast before and was so happy when I received an email invitation from Ford Canada to take a trip with them and some other great creatives on a #FordSUV adventure!
Ford is a brand that has been in my family for years. Our family car was always a Ford, my brother graduated in the Ford program at BCIT and it was always my go-to car when looking for rentals. I’ve written about Ford before and showcased to you 2 of their 2017 SUVs, the Ford Explorer the Ford Edge Titanium. The Edge Titanium is my personal favorite of the group and would love to own it as my personal car. If you want to learn more about it, click HERE & HERE for my previous posts.
Back to the adventure.
9AM on Thursday morning we met at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver Airport for breakfast and to meet our fellow travel mates, bloggers from across Western Canada. After breakfast and a quick overview, we piled into our Ford SUV fleet and made our way to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal and headed for Gibsons. A quick 40 minute ferry ride later and we took our fleet to exciting stops such as Smitty’s Oyster House and outdoor yoga.
Our final destination for the day was the Painted Boat Resort & Spa. I felt so spoiled with my own villa and a cinematic view of the marina, I could have stayed there for days. Ford gifted us with outdoor photography lessons with Jess Findlay, star gazing and believe it or not… my first s’more experience!
It was a lot of fun to get out and experience a new place in B.C., with new friends and in the car that I adore. Thank you Ford for giving us such a thrilling and luxe experience with your 2017 #FordSUV fleet!
