Halloween is finally over and we can confidently begin celebrating holiday cheer! Halloween is my most dreaded holiday… I just can’t get on board with it. Perhaps I will when I have my own children and can begin to celebrate it through their eyes. Christmas, however, I am all about! To get into the holiday mood I’ve decided to add a little sparkle and shine to my wardrobe. I snagged this sweater and trousers from H&M and was initially attracted to the sweater because of the high neckline and bishop sleeves. You rarely find a sweater like this that fits smaller shoulders and waistlines proportionately.
The trousers looked quite striking on the mannequin and I initially thought that I wouldn’t be able to pull them off because of how form fitting it looked. Typically, when I wear something that is so hugging around my curves it accentuates them in a way that makes me look more bottom heavy than I am. However, this time around, I decided to go for a size that sits nicely around my waist (with a little space) and fits my hips more than my waist. I think I nailed the size! I’m usually a 6 but decided to go for an 8 so that it was a more straight look than a hugging look.
I would suggest you add these pants to your wardrobe! I’ve also been styling it with a t-shirt and Adidas for a more causal look.
Wanna get a deal on this set? In celebration of the H&M Park Royal re-opening on November 9th, H&M is offering up some awesome promotions & deals including a flash card with up to $300 given to the first 100 people in line! I’m gonna head there to get my hands on a pair of black wide-leg tie up trousers that I’ve had my eyes on.
Cheers to the holiday ahead and see ya on the 9th!
