Minimalist Jewelry: Mejuri

In my opinion, jewelry is a really intimate piece of your wardrobe. They tend to be pieces that mean something to you, come from someone you love and are those last minute items that elevate your outfit to put that little pep in your step. They are my favorite piece of my outfit and a touch that has developed throughout the years from costume jewelry to minimalist jewelry over the last decade.

When I was in my early 20’s I wore a lot of costume jewelry. I had the statement necklaces and the cocktail rings with the charm bracelets and wore a lot of it at the same time, a la Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay – but not quite to her ring level. Girl, it’s just too much.

You know those IKEA Ribba shelves? The cube ones that come in sets of 4-8. Well, I owned the 8 cube shelf and the top counter was covered inch-by-inch in jewelry. None of it was luxury and all of it was tarnished. Fast forward to my mid 20’s and I started to downplay my jewelry collection. At one point, I wasn’t even wearing any that’s how downplayed it was! It was only until about 5 years ago that I began collecting jewelry that was well made, more luxurious and was my go-to pieces for my outfits. I realized that the more I spent on jewelry, the longer it lasted and the better quality I purchased, it didn’t tarnish.

Now, I own a small amount of jewelry that I can fit into one zip-lock bag and I LOVE every single piece. They’re the items that I wear on repeat and I receive many compliments on – that puts another pep in my step. One of my favorite brands and one that you see me wear often is Mejuri. Mejuri is a Canadian jewelry brand based in Toronto and they believe that luxury should be accessible, fun, and part of your everyday. I couldn’t agree more!

They work with top jewelers, who commit to exceptional craftsmanship and ethical practices, to produce quality essentials. They free themselves from middlemen and sell directly to us, so, they can provide fine jewelry at a fraction of the price.

Below are 4 of my current favorite pieces that I’ve wearing almost everyday. I’ve added some links so you can check it out and maybe treat yourself! WANNA WIN a $500 value Mejuri giveaway???  Click HERE to enter!
