I’ve tried my fair share of plant-based kinds of milk and after much money spent, it’s time to learn How To Make Oat Milk. I’ve tried almond, coconut, cashew and soy.
A plant-based milk is a manufactured, nondairy option that is water-based and uses extract from plants. These options can run you anywhere from $3.99 to $9.99 depending on the brand. This oat milk recipe will cost you less than $.50 and will create 3 cups!
This is not my recipe. As usual, I enjoy sharing my favourite recipes from other plant-based bloggers that have been my tried and true. This recipe for How To Make Oat Milk from Minimalist Baker is so incredibly easy that you simply cannot imagine purchasing oat milk again.
It is literally just 1 cup of oats and 3 cups of water in a blender. There is a simple process for extracting it as well but once you get the hang of how to do it, it will take you less than 5 minutes. I’ve added vanilla to mine but have not tried the other option ingredients Minimalist Baker offers like dates, strawberries and cacao powder.
