If you’re like me, we love pearls. With that said, I don’t reach for my classic pearl set on the daily because the shape is a little too dressed up for my day-to-day. I used to look for pearl jewelry that included pearls but wasn’t the classic round shape. A pearl necklace is pretty but it doesn’t really go with a t-shirt and boyfriend jeans! Enter the ULLA pearl jewelry collection by Canadian jewelry designer, Kara Yoo. ULLA (u-la) meaning ‘gem of the sea’, is a collection that experiments with the contrast of the natural surface of pearls against geometric, hard lines, blurring our view of what is feminine.
This is definitely a collection for the modern woman that allows you to wear your favourite pearls without the preppy or stuffy look. It mixes my love of geometric shapes and gold with a touch of pearl set in a creative way. The ULLA collection launches today, September 19th and can be found online and in select retailers.
In today’s post I’m wearing the following:
Ulla Dangles
Emi Chain Ring
Tidal Ring
Open Waters Ring

PS. Have you checked out my latest post on thrift shopping tips?? Mix together your new Kara Yoo ring with a vintage rocker tee and you’re set.
