How to dress for fall

Summer is over in exactly 20 days but in Vancouver it feels like it was on August 31st. I’m not even upset that Summer is coming to a close. I feel like I enjoyed all of Summer since I travelled so much, so now, it’s time to just sit back and cozy up to a colder Fall season. Vancouver weather is a little iffy and you never really know what to wear when you leave in the morning. I’ve heard someone say that the ultimate Vancouver outfit consists of layers because you’ll leave cold and end up warm by 4pm. Needless to say, I’ve had a hell of a time getting dressed in the mornings since I’m gone till 5pm but instead of layering, I’ve found some light weight pieces that I can cover up with to get the best of both worlds. Enter, this dress! Long sleeves with a high neck and a hem long enough to not be considered a mini – perfection. I originally wanted to pair it with some over the knee boots but I thought that was overtly being too 70s. Ideally, it would be awesome if this dress came in all black and all white. Right??

On another note, I move out in 2 weeks! I’m going to miss my home so much and as odd as it sounds, I think Riley knows she’s leaving. Maybe she feels my uneasy behaviour but I swear she knows. I need to spend the next 13 days soaking up the fact that I can walk to work in 15 minutes because soon enough I’ll have to be commuting via public transit. Any tips for a morning routine or getting the most out of a commute? It’ll be about 45 minutes so give me all the deets! Best shoes for pre work? Must have tote bags to carry it all? Go!
