How To Decorate Your Table For Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and on Sunday, I spent my evening with Robson Street, CB2 and some very special guests. Robson Street celebrated it’s first-ever Thanksgiving Dinner to celebrate friends new and old. Teri and I like to put a fun twist on our events, so what better than to have an intimate family-style dinner in the middle of one of Vancouver’s best home decor stores!

In the middle of an empty store, after hours, myself and 10 others dined on a Thanksgiving dinner by The Lazy Gourmet and gave thanks. Our evening began with an interactive table decoration presentation by Jaleh Fotoohi of JEvents Planning & Design. Jaleh showed us how to create a picture perfect tablescape for Thanksgiving using elements such as florals, candles and some of the latest items you can find at CB2. The mini white pumpkins were a super cute touch!

When I was younger, Thanksgiving was a time of the year when my entire family would get together under one roof with enough food to feed a platoon. We ALL walked away with leftovers and there is nothing better than turkey dinner leftovers, am I right? Now that we’re older and there aren’t anymore children in our family, Thanksgiving is a little different. It’s a more intimate experience and I feel lucky to be able to start my own traditions with Alex and our friends.

I’m very thankful for the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving this year in a new home with my cat children and a man I adore. I’m thankful for my health and happiness, for my friends and family and to be able to have a career doing what I love. I’m thankful for my readers, whom without you, I wouldn’t have the opportunity to post all of this fun content and have a place to create. Thank you!

What are you thankful for? Let me know in the comments!
