closet confessions: Christine Visnjak of Muse Social Fashion House

After reading my blog you have come to recognize a few names with one being Christine Visnjak, owner of Muse Social Fashion House. Her boutique in Morgan Crossing has become one of my most beloved shops with brands such as BB Dakota, Lauren Ballash and Ya Los Angeles with local favorites Bfrend, Social Experiment and yep.. I See Noise prints! Muse has become a major hot spot for local fashionistas to pick up fabulous pieces month after month.

Popping into Muse is always a treat and to top it off you’re sure to see Christine sporting her latest additions to the shop. As always, she is stylish and on trend without going overboard and staying true to her staple accessories and colors. I knew going into her closet would be like seeing what’s new in stock but I had no idea I would be seeing the best of roster of dresses, tanks, shoes, you name it!

If you’ve been to Muse you would recognize Christine’s inspiration for her closet, immediately. Much like the boutique it is created with fine lines, structure and dark wood. A mix of elegance and sophistication with a touch of edge.

Please, follow me into her closet… Here we go!

“I have had this wrought iron display for many years now and i love it.  it’s the perfect piece of art, plus it’s a great way to showcase my necklaces.”

“I love this photo!!  Not only does it showcase my baubles, but you get to see glimpse of my personal taste too!  I’m pretty standard when it comes to accessories – I’m strictly a rings, watch and bracelet kind of girl. Most of pieces have symbolic meaning to them so i try to rotate them as much as possible.  You can tell that i love BFREND bracelets (Monika is a good friend of mine and we carry her bracelets at the store).  I have a set from Tiffany’s that I love (mesh bracelet and two matching rings) because I got them from various trips to Maui, my most favourite place to vacation.  I also have another Tiffany’s bracelet that is really special to me because my best friend and i have matching ones – it symbolizes over 15 years of us being best friends.  My David Yurman ring was given to me to celebrate my 1 year anniversary at the store – i love wearing it because it reminds me of what i have accomplished, and it pushes me to work harder for the future.  And lastly, my Brietling watch – a classic and timeless piece that i will have forever.”

“Everyone should have a sequin dress!  This one is rose gold and is from the holiday collection from BB Dakota.  We carried this dress at the store last Holiday season – secretly i brought it into the store because i wanted it for myself!  The faux fur jacket is from Kersh – it is slightly cropped, has 3/4 sleeves and it has the most vibrant pink lining – i adore it!  I can’t wait to wear both of these pieces this up-coming holiday season!”

“I love absolutely everything in this photo!  My custom I See Noise print to match my Chanel paired with my classic patent Christian Louboutin pumps.”

“My bags!!  I love designer bags and have started quite the collection – one that i’m definitely proud of.   Each bag has a significant meaning to me – I can tell you when and where i bought each one.  If you were to ask me to tell you which one is my favourite, i honestly couldn’t choose.  My Chanel though is definitely one of my most treasured.”

“My Mac and I – we’re inseparable! Being a business owner i need to be connected to my business even when i’m not physically at the store.  If i’m on my computer, chances are i’m on the store’s Facebook page.  I try to post photos of new items as much as possible , or at least post new status up-dates to let our followers know what has just arrived in store. “

“Love this photo!!  It shows off two of my loves – my nephews and sunglasses!  I have two nephew’s and they love Thomas The Train. I wanted to have items in my room that reminded me of my nephews but something that was chic as well.  I saw this idea on a Glitter Guide feature so i decided to adapt it.  I spray painted the trains gold and now they fit in perfectly in my room.  I tend to forget that i have a large collection and with them now being displayed in my new closet i hope to rotate them a bit more”

“We carried this mint coloured tank at the store this past season and even though it’s been sold out for a while now, we still  have people coming in asking for it.  It’s fun, flirty and very feminine”

“I have a lot of sunglasses but these are one of my most favourite – They have the Tory Burch symbol on the lens that you can only see when the sun hits them in just the right way.  I’m a big Tory Burch fan (of her brand and of her as a successful business woman) and i think they’re so creative – they’re definitely a great conversation piece.”

“My clutches tell a story – they come from all over!  The lime green one is one of my favourites that i completely forgot i had!  It came from a little store on Main Street.  I love supporting small local boutiques, plus it’s fun to have one-off’s that no one else has!”

“One of my favourite outfits this season – the sorbet colours are perfect for the season. I’ve paired the dress it with a cognac belt and Tory Burch sandals and bangles.  I love how the gold pops beautifully against the colours in the dress.  I can’t wait to wear this outfit in LA next week!”

“This photo makes me laugh – one of the things i love most about owning my own boutique is helping clients find items that they love and feel confident in.  I find this amusing because I always question myself on what i’m wearing.  This photo is the perfect depiction of what i go through every morning!”

“The third photo shows one of my closet staples – JBrand jeans.  I love dark denim; it looks crisp and classic.  I’ve paired them with a fun owl print blouse from Zara (it has some fun gold studding on the collar), linen and metallic clutch and faux print orange heels.”

I love this! I am totally drooling over the size of her closet and its set-up. My favourite photo is the one of Christine on her bed with her bags and laptop!
