We’re gettin’ personal here people! You know my dating history, you’ve seen me in my underwear and in the shower and now you’re seeing me in action with my everyday beauty routine. It’s not pretty… well it is… cause I’m putting on makeup but you’ll see what I mean. This ain’t no glamorous makeup session! It’s me, in my chill attire, on the floor in front of my bedroom mirror. You’re about to get squinty eyes and some major eye brow raising action! Big ups to Leonie for snapping the pics and refraining from making fun of me.
Let’s dive in!
When it comes to my makeup, as you’ve seen on here before – I don’t get crazy. I like to stick to neutral palettes and keep it simple. The one look I’m still learning to master but think I do a pretty good job at is the neutral eyes. Mixing shadows isn’t my forte but with the Naked Basics Palette by Urban Decay it’s super easy. You all know this palette, it’s probably one of the most popular eye shadow combos to date and it consists of every neutral shade you need for any daytime or evening look.
I’ve used shades “Naked 2” as my base all over the lid then added “W.O.S” in the corners to highlight. Lastly using “Crave” (black) on my creases and “Venus” under my brows. It seems like a lot to of shades to cocktail but the end look is super effortless.
The Stilla liquid liner is a blessing in a tiny little pen. It’s a little intimidating to use at first but once you get a handle on how it glides you get some pretty stellar lines. The super fine tip allows for the perfect wing and thin line across the lid.
The Smashbox lash primer is an item that I’m new to. I never used to prime my lashes but it makes all of the difference. I’m a big believer in mascara, the more the better! Layer it on! (Just don’t clump.) If you apply your mascara in a day as much as I do then you’ll want to start priming your lashes. It keeps them healthy and under control after so many applications of mascara.
I tend to raise my eyebrows super high when I apply mascara – no judging. I’ve never been one to open my mouth when applying mascara… I’m not a fish.
All items used in today’s post can be found at the Sephora on Robson Street, Vancouver opening at the end of October. Keep up to date on the opening with the hashtag #SephoraRobson. Purchase each item here on the blog by clicking on the item description or on the product photo itself.
