Everyone that knows me understands that the way to my heart is through my stomach. If you want to make me happy, you can either buy me food, make me food or just simply…be food! Alex and I have a long list of Vancouver restaurants, bars and cafes that we’ve been waiting to try and with only 7 days in a week and not exactly millions coming through the door, we need to pace ourselves!
Last night I had the pleasure of trying out some of Chinatown’s best restaurants with Foodora. Foodora is new to Vancouver and brings the trendiest restaurants to your door. They currently have 60 Vancouver restaurants for you to order from online – check your neighbourhood HERE.
I was invited to join Foodora on their AAA #GoodFoodTour! to 3 restaurants: Torafuku, Juke and The Irish Heather. Torafuku has been on our list for a while and I’m so happy to finally had experienced it (sorry Alex!). Torafuku will also be participating in Tourism Vancouver’s Dine Out Vancouver. You can see their menu HERE. One of my favourite experiences of the evening was an introduction to Clement Chang. Clement is the Owner of Torafuku, voted Canadian Chef of the Year and Chopped Canada Champion. Hearing him discuss his creations with the largest smile on his face made me appreciate the dish even more! You can see his big grin in the photos below. Thanks Clement!
I’ve been to Juke Fried Chicken probably more times than I would like to admit and I just can’t get enough. They have some of the yummiest ribs and gluten free fried chicken that I’ve ever had and I’m fully dedicated to my KFC. I’ve taken home their fried chicken before and even after refrigerating and microwaving, the skin was still crisp! If you haven’t been, you must add it to your list.
I didn’t get a chance to hit up The Irish Heather with the crew but I’ve luckily been before. What can you expect with such a large list of restaurants??
Have you been to any of these Vancouver restaurants? Which one was your favourite?
